2093 VI. Lucretia Lockwood, b. in New Canaan, Conn., 2 July 1818; married, 9 March 1843, in Poundridge, N. Y., by Rev. William Patterson, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, to Samuel Smith Osborn, a shoemaker, born in Poundridge about 1819, son of Samuel and Betsey (Smith) Osborn. She died in Poundridge, without children, 16 March 1863, and was buried in St. Mark's Cemetery, New Canaan. He enlisted at New Canaan, 11 Aug. 1862, as a private, in Co. H., 17th Reg., Conn., Vol. Infantry; and was discharged, on account of disability from sickness. He afterward re-enlisted; was assigned to Co. M, 2d Reg., Conn. Heavy Artillery; died at Fort Schuyler, N. Y., from wounds received at the battle of Cold Harbor, 1 June 1864; and was buried at Stamford, Conn.

2094 I. Isaac Lewis Whitney, b. at Poundridge, N.Y., 22 Ap. 1817; moved with his mother, about 1829, to Dewitt, N.Y., and thence, when about twenty-one years old, to Albany, N.Y., where he was employed as a salesman; married, 23 Oct. 1838, in Lawrence Street, Albany, by Rev. Mr. Myers, Presbyterian, to Elizabeth Turner, born at Watervliet, N.Y., 3 Oct. 1816, dau. of Peter and Sarah (Dimond) Turner, who came from England. He died in Montgomery Street, Albany, 23 Aug. 1849, and was buried in Albany Rural Cemetery. She was still living, with her children, at 6 Tivoli Street, Albany, in 1874. 6538
2095 II. Augustus Whitney, b. at Poundridge, N.Y., 27 Nov. 1818; died 23 Sept. 1823.
2096 III. Ester Margaret Whitney, twin, b. at Poundridge, N.Y., 25 Ap. 1821; died of dysentery, 15 Sept. 1823; at Poundridge, and was buried in New Canaan, Conn.
2097 IV. Margaret Esther Whitney, twin, b. at Poundridge, N.Y., 25 Ap. 1821; died of Dysentery, 11 Sept. 1823, at Poundridge, and was buried in New Canaan, Conn.
2098 V. Augustus Waters Whitney, b. at Poundridge, N.Y., 2 July 1824; a farmer; moved with his mother, about 1829, to Dewitt, N.Y., and thence, in 1841, to Norwalk, Ohio, where, in 1845, they bought and settled on a heavily-timbered farm, which he cleared and cultivated the rest of his life; married, 6 June 1850, at her fathers's house in Norwalk township, Ohio, by Rev. Jeremiah Hull, pastor of the Baptist Church in Norwalk, to Almaria Juliet Wait, born in Bethany, N.Y., 24 Ap. 1831, 6541
