VII. Mary Ann Whitney, b. in Henderson, N. Y., 7 Sept. 1822; married, 21 Jan. 1845, at her father's house in Ellisburgh, N. Y., by Prior Scott, Esq., to Oscar Fitserland Hathaway, a carpenter, joiner and farmer, who was born at Belleville, in Ellisburgh, in 1819 or 1820, son of Joseph and Elsie (Spink) Hathaway. They settled in Ellisburgh, and moved thence, in Feb. 1863, to Albion, N. Y., where they were living in 1874.

VIII. Patty Maria Whitney, b. in Henderson, N. Y., 27 Dec. 1824; married, 12 Feb. 1843, at her father's house in Henderson, by Albert A. Davis, Esq., to Egbert Sylvester Vorce, a sailor, born in Dover, N. Y., 16 March 1818, son of John Baker and Phebe (Boice) Vorce, who lived in Ellisburgh, N. Y., at the time of his marriage. They dwelt in Ellisburgh, in 1874, without children.

IX. John Almon Whitney, b. in Henderson, N. Y., 10 May 1827; a farmer; married, 27 Nov. 1857, at Belleville, in Ellisburgh, N. Y., by Bradford K. Hawes, Esq., of Ellisburgh, to Margaret Chawgo, born at Chittenango, N. Y., 5 Aug. 1828, dau. of Henry and Sally (Chrisman) Chawgo, who lived in Sandy Creek, N. Y., at the time of her marriage. They settled on the homestead of his father, in the north-west part of Ellisburgh, near Rural Hill post-office, and were living there, with his mother and brother, in 1874.

X. Samuel Green Whitney, b. in Henderson, N. Y., 26 Oct. 1829; a carpenter, joiner and farmer; married in Oneida, Mich., by Edmund Lampson, Esq., to Harriet Doty Tower, who was born at Phelps, N. Y., 15 May 1826, dau. of Joseph and Cynthia (Pulling) Tower. They settled at Grand Ledge, in Oneida, Mich.; and, in 1865, moved to the adjoining town of Delta, where they were living in 1874.

XI. William Alfred Whitney, b. in Henderson, N. Y., 16 Feb. 1834; a farmer; married, 9 Ap. 1864, in Cleveland, Ohio, Anna Amanda Fellows, dau. of Henry and Margaret (Santee) Fellows, of Galion, Ohio, where she was born 31 Dec. 1840. They lived at Grand Ledge, Mich., in June 1877. He was a soldier in the war of 1861, serving for two years in the 24th Reg., N. Y. S. Volunteers.
