lived, for five years, at Mechlenburgh, in Hector; and then moved to Enfield, where they were living in Feb. 1875.
2599 V. Joel Newbury Whitney, b. at Pawling, N. Y., 11 Nov. 1808; a farmer and, for five years, a teacher; married, 30 Oct. 1838, at her father's house in Orange, N. Y., by Elder Hall, Baptist, to Caroline Andrews, who was born at Ballston, N. Y., seven miles south-east of the spa, 7 Oct. 1819, dau. of Orrin and Martha (Hooper) Andrews, and g. dau. of Col. Lawrence and Caroline (Hoos) Hooper, and of Zenas Andrews, a soldier in the Revolutionary War. They were still living, in Feb. 1875, at Enfield, N. Y., where he settled with his father, in Oct. 1817. 7721
2600 VI. Henry Whitney, b. at Pawling, N. Y., 14 May 1812; died at Pawling, 25 Oct. 1812, and was buried there.
2601 VII. Amanda Whitney, b. at Pawling, N. Y., 24 March 1814; married Levi King, of Ithaca, N. Y., a carpenter, born 20 Ap. 1814, son of Jonathan and Fanny (Tompkins) King, from Dutchess Co., N. Y. He deserted her many years ago, and died in Canada. She died at Ithaca, 8 March 1869, and was buried at Enfield Centre, N. Y. 7725

2602 I. Oscar Fitzoland Whitney, b. at Florida, in Warwick, N. Y., 24 Sept. 1805; a carpenter; married at Florida, 23 Aug. 1826, by Rev. Charles Cummins, Presbyterian, to Christian Ann Cary, dau. of Isaac and Elizabeth (Jennings) Cary, both deceased, of "Summerville, Orange Co., N. Y.," where she was born 7 Oct. 1808. She lived with her uncle, Richard Jennings, of Florida. They settled in Florida, and were dwelling there in May 1875. 7733
2603 II. Eliza Whitney, b. at Florida, N. Y., 22 Sept. 1807; was living at 193 Johnson Street, Brooklyn, N. Y., in May 1875, unmarried.
2604 III. Amanda Whitney, b. at Florida, N. Y., 15 Feb. 1809; died at Florida, 18 Dec. 1809, and was buried there.
2605 IV. William Anson Whitney, b. at Florida, N. Y., 30 Oct. 1810; a draper and tailor, at 515 Fulton Street, Brooklyn, N. Y., in Ap. 1875.
2606 V. Melicent Whitney, b. at Florida, N. Y., 6 May 1813; was living at 193 Johnson Street, Brooklyn, N. Y., in May 1875, unmarried.
