where she was born, 10 Sept 1833. They dwelt in Stamford, Conn., for three years; and then moved to Danbury, Conn., where they were living in Feb. 1874. He was there engaged in business with his brother, Timothy Hunt Foster, under the firm-name of Foster Brothers. He enlisted at Stamford, Conn., for nine months, 30 Aug. 1862, in Co. B, 28th Conn. Vol. Infantry; and was discharged in Aug. 1863, as corporal, having taken part in the siege of Port Hudson.
2830 VII. John Benedict Foster, b. in Ridgefield, Conn., 31 July 1834; died there, 12 May 1835, and was buried in Titicus Cemetery.
2831 VIII. Timothy Hunt Foster, b. in Ridgefield, Conn., 11 Aug. 1836; a carpenter and joiner; married there, 25 June 1862, by Rev. William H. Williams, Episcopal, to Louisa Northrop, dau. of Rufus and Lucretia (Mead) Northrop, of Ridgefield and Danbury, Conn. 8089

Before marriage, he dwelt in North Salem, N. Y., 1856 to 1858; in Ridgefield, 1859 to 1860; and then moved to Danbury, where they were living in March 1874. He was then in business with his brother, Joel Granger Foster, under the firm-name of Foster Brothers. He has been, for one year, chairman of the board of selectmen; one year, an assessor; and one year, a burgess of Danbury.
