p. 60, #189: Joshua4 WHITNEY could not have died before 17 Feb 1759. Firstly, the vital records give the date 10 Feb 1761, with his exact age. Secondly, the family record says 10 Feb 1762 or 1761, the second date agreeing with the vital records. Thirdly, he had two children who must have been conceived after that date. Fourthly, Joshua5 was only nine years old, not old enough to choose a guardian. The original record will have to be found and examined to determine the correct date of the guardianship.

p. 60, #581: Abigail5 WHITNEY was, I believe, #539 on page 58.

p. 60, #584: Asa5 WHITNEY was actually son of #176 on page 58.

p. 60, #594: Eunice5 WHITNEY married, 2 Sep 1798, Brooklyn, CT, Stephen BACKUS. They had two children of record, one born in Norwich and one in Canterbury, CT.
