David Crockett⁹ Whitney (Clark Lyman⁸, (Samuel⁷, Samuel⁶, Samuel⁵, Nathaniel⁴, Nathaniel³, John², John¹), son of Clark Lyman⁸ and Rhoda Ann (Ballard) Whitney, was born 5 Nov 1855, Charlevoix, MI, and died 21 Oct 1926, Rice Lake, WI.

He married, 31 Dec 1875, Whitehall, WI, Rose M. Smith, daughter of Jonathan B. and Paralee Ann (Young) Smith. She was born 19 Mar 1859, Burlington, WI, and died 19 Mar 1934, Rice Lake, WI. She was buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery, St. Paul, MN.

He was a homeopathic physician. He graduated from National Medical University, Chicago, 1896.
