Nathaniel6 Whitney (Abel5, Nathan4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Abel5 and Thankful (Morton) Whitney, was born 20 Jun 1769, Gorham, ME,[1] and died 21 Apr 1844, Standish, ME, aged 75 years.
Marriage intentions for him and Zilpah Martin were published 22 Feb 1792, Standish, ME.[2] He married 16 Mar 1794, Standish, ME, Zilpah Martin, by Rev. Jonathan Gould,[3] daughter of Bryan and Elizabeth (Higgins) Martin. She was born either 1770-1774 (from census records), baptized 28 Feb 1779, Eastham, MA, and died apparently between 1840 and 1850.
He resided Standish, ME.
He purchased land in Standish 30-Acre Lot 17: Joshua Moody to Nathaniel Whitney, March 13, 1793, Lot 17, 28/112.[4]
