Aaron Porter9 Whitney (Josiah Billings8, Zachariah7, Zachariah6, Zachariah5, John4, Joseph3, John2, John1), son of Josiah Billings8 and Mary Ann (Patch) Whitney, was born 4 Apr 1836, and died 1 Apr 1891, Leominster, MA, aged 54 years 11 months, of paralysis, junk dealer.[1]

He married firstly, 31 May 1858, Fitchburg, MA, Mary Conlon, both of Lunenburg,[2] daughter of Michael and Margaret (Murphy) Conlon. She was born 7 May 1833, Ireland, and died 29 Jul 1865, Lunenburg, MA, aged 32 years 2 months 21 days, of consumption.[3]

He married secondly, 5 Nov 1867, Boston, MA, Mary M. (Mackintosh) Payne, daughter of John F. and Mary (-----) Mackintosh.[4] She was born about 8 Jun 1823, Roxbury, MA, and died 25 Aug 1891, Leominster, MA, aged 68 years 2 months 17 days, of Bright's disease.[5] s. p. She had married firstly, before 1841, Oliver P. Payne.

He resided Lunenburg and Leominster, MA.

i. Aaron Porter10 Whitney, b. 4 Apr 1859, Lunenburg, MA;[6] unmarried; resided 814 S. 8th St. Denver.
ii. Hattie M. Whitney, b. 12 Jan 1861, Lunenburg, MA;[7]; resided 33 Sumner St., Boston, MA. She was probably the Mary Harnet Whitney, b. ca. 1861, Lunenburg, MA, who m. 16 Jun 1897, Chelsea, MA, Charles F. Ames, b. ca. 1849, Chelsea, MA, son of Job and Mary (Clark) Ames.[8]
iii. Daniel C. Whitney, b. 26 Dec 1863, Lunenburg, MA [given name omitted];[9] resided with Aaron.
