Since Alfred was born in early 1810 in Dutchess Co., NY, it would seem certain that he would be enumerated as a male 0-9 years old in the 1810 census in Dutchess Co., NY.  The only family which seems to have such a child and which is not otherwise eliminated, is that of Ebenezer Whitney, Clinton, Dutchess Co., NY:  Ebenezer Whitney 10010/21010/00, i.e. 1 male 26-45, 1 male 0-9, 1 female 26-45, 1 female 10-15, and 2 females 0-9.  His identity is unknown.
