Alfred E.8 Whitney (Jeremiah F.7, Ezekiel6, Ezekiel5, John4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of Jeremiah F.7 and Sarah Ann Janette (Puffer) Whitney, was born 15 Dec 1862,[1] Newton, MA, and died after 1920.

He "Alfred E." married, 14 May 1884, New Bedford, MA, Margaretta Peirce, dau. of Henry C. and Margaretta (-----) Peirce.[2] She was born about 1865, New Bedford, and died after 1920. She was called Margaret McCullough at birth of daughter Maude.

i. Maude E.9 Whitney, b. 26 Dec 1885, New Bedford, MA;[3] m. 8 Nov 1909, New Bedford, MA [also recorded at Fairhaven, MA], Sidney E. S/F. Peck, b. ca. 1881, Fairhaven, MA, son of Joseph B. and Effie R. (Foster) Peck.[4]
ii. Dorothy L. Whitney, b. 21 Feb 1898, New Bedford, MA;[5] d. aft. 1920, then unmarried.
