Alonzo L.7 Whitney (Eliab Turner6, Josiah5, John4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Eliab Turner6 and Lydia (Williams) Whitney, was born 9 Aug 1847, Newcastle, ME, and died 11 Sep 1919, Rockport, MA, aged 72 years 1 month 2 days. Burial in Locust Grove Cemetery, Gloucester, MA.[1]
He married firstly, 21 Mar 1872, Rockport, MA, Rhoda Alice Parsons, daughter of Calvin T. and Theresa A. (Woodbury) Parsons.[2] She was born 19 Dec 1852, Rockport, MA, and died 4 Jul 1880, Rockport, MA, aged 27 years 6 months 9 days, of epilepsy and obscure cerebral disease.[3] She was buried in Locust Grove Cemetery, Gloucester, MA.[4]
He married secondly, 20 Jan 1897, Rockport, MA, Ada Whittredge Hale, daughter of Thomas Charles and Lucy Wheeler (Knowlton) Hale.[5] She was born Jul 1860, Rockport, MA, and died 1950. She was buried in Locust Grove Cemetery, Gloucester, MA.[6] She had no children.
F. C. Pierce relates that he resided in Pigeon Cove, MA, which is part of Rockport, MA.
