Benjamin8 Whitney (John7, Abner6, Samuel5, William4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of John7 and Susanna (Smith) Whitney, was born 17 Sep 1796, Westminster, MA, and died 19 Jan 1873, Fitchburg, MA, aged 76 years 4 months 2 days, of dropsy.[1]

Marriage intentions were published 2 Apr 1824, Fitchburg, MA, for him "of Fitchburg" and Mehitable Whitcomb "of Fitchburg".[2] He "of Fitchburg" married, 6 May 1824, Ashby, MA, Mehitable Whitcomb "of Fitchburg",[3] daughter of Jonah and Mehitable (Daby) Whitcomb. She was born 23 Oct 1797, Ashby, MA, and died 27 Mar 1881, Fitchburg, MA, aged 83 years 5 months, of apoplexy.[4]
