Benjamin C.8 Whitney (Henry7, Samuel6, Samuel5, Samuel4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Henry7 and Betsey (Hard) Whitney, was born 17 Apr 1816, Newtown, CT, and died 19 Apr 1867, Sandy Hook village, Newtown, CT, aged 50 years.[1]

He chose Thomas Peck, of Newtown, as his guardian, 5 Sep 1835, being then "a minor, about 19 years old".

He married, 8 Apr 1847, Charlotte Smith. She was born about 1822, CT, and died 6 Apr 1862, NJ.

Benjamin C.8 and Charlotte (Smith) Whitney had no children.
