Family:Whitney, Branson (c1812-a1850)

Branson Whitney, ([perhaps] Ransom⁶, Ebenezer⁵, Elnathan⁴, Eleazar³, Thomas², John¹), parentage unknown but perhaps the son of Ransom⁶ Whitney, was born circa 1812, NC, and died after 1850.

He married, 1838, Lincoln Co., NC, Sarah Finison, born circa 1823, Lincoln Co., NC.

Children of Branson and Sarah (Finison) Whitney:

i.	(son) Whitney, b. 1835-1840, probably NC. This was probably Noah Whitney.
ii.	Francis M. Whitney, b. ca. 1841, NC.
iii.	Marcus W. Whitney, b. ca. 1845, NC; m. Catherine -----.

Notes

"All I know about Branson Whitney is that he was born In 1811 in North Carolina. I know that he married Sara Finison born 1823 in Lincoln County, North Carolina. In 1838 they were married in Lincoln County North Carolina. They later moved to Tippah County Mississippi. I also know that he had an uncle named Eli" - NCLINCOLN post, as well as "His daughater Mahalia is my great great grandmother."
