Caleb Boyington⁷ Whitney (Amaziah⁶, Abner⁵, John⁴, Isaiah³, Thomas², John¹), son of Amaziah⁶ and Sarah (Boyington) Whitney, was born 16 Feb 1809, Maryland, NY, and died 26 Aug 1891, Cawker City, KS.

He married firstly, 25 Aug 1836, or 22 Sep 1836, Oxford or Norwich, NY, Adocia Stevens. She was born 23 Feb 1810, and died 20 Aug 1880, Meriden, IL.

He married secondly, 4 Sep 1888, Cawker City, KS, Elizabeth (Smith) Else. She was born 19 Jul 1815, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, and died after 1 Oct 1891. She had married firstly, 18 Sep 1836, Cuckney, Nottinghamshire, Samuel Else.

He was a stonemason and farrier by trade. He resided Spencer, NY, and Cawker City, KS.
