Charles Joseph9 Whitney (William H.8, Eli7, Enoch6, Moses5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of William H.8 and Anna/Annie/Ann E. (Scannell) Whitney, was born 14 Jan 1867, Boston, MA,[1] and died after 1900.

He, of Boston, married firstly, 4 Aug 1887, Somerville, MA, Ellen Cavanagh, daughter of William and Mary (-----) Cavanagh. She was born about 1867, Ireland.[2]

He married secondly, 13 Nov 1895, Boston, MA, Emma J. Cleaveland, dau. of James A. and Josephine E. (-----) Cleveland.[3] She was born Aug 1876, Somerville, MA, and died after 1900.

In 1897 he was a night watchman living at 3069 Washington St., Boston, MA. In 1898 he was a watchman living at 120 Dacia St., Boston, MA.
