Cheeney7 Whitney (Nathan6, Jonathan5, Jonathan4, Jonathan3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Nathan6 and Olive (Whitney) Whitney, was born 21 Apr 1795, Seneca, NY, and died 10 Feb 1886, Seneca, NY.
He married, 26 Jun 1817, Seneca, NY, Olive Colwell. She was born 19 Mar 1801, and died 28 Apr 1886.
He was born at Seneca Castle, NY, the seventh child of Nathan and Olive (Whitney) Whitney and died in his 91st year. Had he been spared a little longer he would have celebrated the sixty-ninth anniversary of his wedding. His life and character are worthy of emulation. He united with the Presbyterian church in 1831, from that time adorned the profession he made by a humble, kindly, cheerful, and most devout life. He was honored and beloved by the entire community who accorded to him the affectionate title of Uncle Cheeney. He was interested in everything that pertained to the moral and spiritual welfare of others. Was a farmer on a large scale. In 1831 she united with the Presbyterian church and ever after was a devout member. He resided Seneca, NY.
