Chester D.9 Whitney (Lorenzo8, Salmon7, Moses6, Ephraim5, Moses4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of Lorenzo8 and Elizabeth (Sprague) Whitney, was born 1834, Madrid, ME, and died 1914.

He married, 21 Nov 1857, Phillips, ME, Neoma S. Huntoon,[1] probably daughter of Enoch and Sarah (Cutts) Huntoon. She was born about 1839, ME, and died 10 Jun 1891.

He married secondly, 10 Jul 1897, Vineyard Haven or Tisbury, MA, Sarah Pease (Morrison) Sumner, daughter of Moses B. and Sophia Jane (Cottle) Morrison.[2] She was born about 1841, ME, and died 10 Dec 1922, Southern Pines, Michelle, Moore Co., NC. She had married firstly, 13 Jul 1856, Tisbury, MA, Elbridge Augustus Sumner.

They are buried in Madrid Village Cemetery, Madrid, ME.[3]

i. Gertie R.10 Whitney, b. ca. 1863, ME; m. Frank Cole.
ii. Grace M. Whitney, b. ca. 1868, ME; d. 1943; m. 18 Dec 1889, Albion, ME, James E. Drake.[4]
iii. C. Enoch Whitney, b. ca. Jun 1874; d. 9 Sep 1874, aged 3 months.
iv. Vance C. Whitney, b. 25 Nov 1876, ME; m. 6 Dec 1913, ME, Annie Elizabeth Field.

Chester D.9 and Sarah Pease (Morrison)(Sumner) Whitney had no children.
