Daniel E.7 Whitney (Isaac6, Richard5, Israel4, Ebenezer3, Richard2, John1), son of Isaac6 and Abigail (Edson) Whitney, was born about 21 Dec 1811, Springfield, VT, and died 14 Apr 1899, Brookline, VT, aged 87 years 3 months 23 days, of chorea.[1]

He married firstly, 25 May 1839, Athens, VT, Achsah Ranney,[2] daughter of William and Elizabeth (Wells) Ranney. She was born 30 Dec 1820, Westminster, VT, and died after 1860.

He married secondly, 1 Jan 1869, Athens, VT, Lois A. (Barry) Wheeler, daughter of Michael and Elenor (Glazier) Barry.[3] She was born about 16 Apr 1828, Hague, NY, and died 21 Nov 1910, Brookline, VT, aged 82 years 7 months 5 days.[4]

Children of Daniel E.7 and Achsah (Ranney) Whitney:

i. Orlin M.8 Whitney, b. 18 Aug 1841, VT; m. Annett/Nettie E. St. Clair.
ii. Lillas V. Whitney, b. ca. 1856, VT; d. May 1870, Brookline, VT, aged 14 years of consumption.[5]

iii. Bertha E.8 Whitney, b. ca. 1873, VT.

Notes

His parentage is proven by his second marriage record and his death record. He lived with the family of his uncle Israel6 and Elizabeth (Holt) Whitney in 1850, 1860, and 1870.
