He married firstly, 27 Sep 1857, Shrewsbury, MA, Maria T. Fisher, daughter of David and Lucy M. (Bennett) Fisher.[3] She was born about 1839, Grafton, MA, and died 22 Jul 1871, aged 32 years 5 months, of phthisis, Boston, MA.[4]

He married secondly, 6 Jan 1872, Worcester, MA, Cecelia Maria Hewett, daughter of Josiah Gale and Mary D. (Putnam) Hewett.[5] She was born 25 Jun 1850, Worcester, MA,[6] and died 15 Apr 1881, Boston, MA, aged 30 years 9 months 20 days, of acute peritonitis, resided 9 Orange Street.[7]

He was a shoemaker, resided Grafton, Worcester, Boston, and Hopkinton, MA.
