Dudley⁸ Whitney (Joseph⁷, William⁶, William⁵, William⁴, Nathaniel³, John², John¹), son of Joseph⁷ and Hannah (Perley) Whitney, was born 12 Jul 1802, Winchendon, MA,^[1] and died 7 Sep 1831, Winchendon, MA, aged 29 years.^[2]

Marriage intentions were published on 13 Sep 1829, Roxbury, MA, for him and Mary Shirley Shove,^[3] daughter of William and Nancy (Shirley) Shove. She was born about 1808, Charlestown, MA, and died 25 Mar 1873, Boston, MA, aged 65 years 7 months, of anemia.^[4]
