Ebenezer6 Whitney (Ebenezer5, Elnathan4, Eleazar3, Thomas2, John1), was born say 1790.

He married Nancy Stinson.[1] They obtained a marriage bond 8 Aug 1811, Guilford Co., NC. The bondsman was William Hanner and the witness was Jo Davis, Deputy Clerk.[2]

Children of Ebenezer6 Whitney, order uncertain, based upon a census reconstruction:

i. (son)7 Whitney, b. ca. 1810-1820. Was he perhaps the Zeno Worth Whitney, b. ca. 1815, NC? For more discussion, see this post.

iii. (daughter) Whitney, b. ca. 1810-1820.

Notes

Was one of his daughters perhaps the Nancy Whitney who m. John Robinson? They obtained a marriage licence 17 Jul 1824, Lincoln Co., NC. The bondsman was "Willam Brag" and the witness was "Jno Turbyfill".

A man named Zeno Worth resided in Guilford Co., NC, supporting the idea that Zeno W. Whitney originated with this family.
