Ebenezer W. Whitney (John H.), son of John H. and Charlotte (Prouty) Whitney, was born 1825-1826, Royalston, MA, or Boston, MA, and died 24 Jul 1865, Royalston, MA, aged 39 years, of cramp, married, farmer.[1]
He married firstly, 31 Aug 1848, Royalston, MA, Jane Roxana Clement, daughter of William and Roxana (-----) Clement.[2] She was born about 1818, Cornish, NH, and "Roxana Jane" died 23 Mar 1857, Fitzwilliam, NH [recorded Royalston, MA], aged 29 years 9 months 19 days, of consumption.[3]
He married secondly, 23 May 1859, Fitzwilliam, NH, Etta/Henrietta C. Carter,[4] daughter of Eben and Clarissa J. (Colburn) Carter. She was born about 1841, Fitzwilliam, NH, and died 6 Apr 1875, Winchendon, MA. She married secondly, 31 Dec 1868, Winchendon, MA, Bethuel Ellis, born about 1824, Barre, MA, son of Daniels and Lurena S. (-----) Ellis.[5]

Ella Sarah Whitney, b. ca. 4 Jun 1851, Fitzwilliam, NH; d. 5 Nov 1854, Royalston, MA, aged 3 years 5 months 1 day, of canker rash.[8]
