Edmund6 Whitney (Joseph5, Abel4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Joseph5 and Betty (Phinney) Whitney, was born 7 Dec 1799, Gorham, ME,[1] and died after 1850, and probably before 1860, Jacksonville, FL.

He married, 5 Jun 1838, Telfair Co., GA, Mary McLean. She was born about 1814, SC, and died after 1860.
