Edwin Augustus9 Whitney (Amos8, Ohio7, Silas6, Samuel5, William4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Amos8 and Harriett J. (Bemis) Whitney, was born 29 May 1842, Ashburnham, MA, and died 11 Mar 1930, Watertown, MA.

He married, 30 May 1871, Plymouth, NH [recorded Fitchburg, MA], Kate Rea Cummings, daughter of Noah Connor and Elmira (George) Cummings.[1] She was born 15 Nov 1845, Plymouth, NH, and died after 1930.

They resided Fitchburg, Newton, and Watertown, MA.

Walter Cummings10 Whitney, b. 10 Jun 1878 or 1877, Fitchburg, MA [given name omitted];[2] d. 20 May 1935, Newton, MA; m. 30 Nov 1909, Watertown, MA [or Newton, MA], Gertrude Louise (Hall} Johnson, b. Jun 1877, New York, NY, dau. of George R. and Frances A. (Schenck) Hall.[3] He was a wholesale jeweler.
