Elias5 Whitney (Lemuel4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of Ens. Lemuel4 and Sibel (-----) Whitney, was born circa 1733, b. before 9 Apr 1738 at Stow, MA.

Marriage intentions for him and Rachel Wheeler were published 18 Nov 1758, Acton, MA. He married, 20 Nov 1758 at Stow, MA, Rachel Wheeler "of Acton",[1] daughter of Hezekiah and Sarah (Buss) Wheeler. She was born on 3 Jul 1737, Acton, MA, and died after 14 Sep 1812, when she was mentioned in will of her son Hezekiah.

He was also known as Lias Whitney.

iii. Sarah Whitney, b. 10 Jul 1763, Stow, MA.[5] She may have been the Sarah Whitney who m. 19 Feb 1783, Stow, MA, Daniel Brown.[6]
iv. Rachel Whitney, b. 10 Aug 1772, Stow, MA;[7] d. 16 Aug 1778, Stow, MA, aged 6 years.[8]
