He married Hannah -----.
They supposedly resided Columbia Co., NY and moved to Canada after the Revolution.
Children of Elijah and Hannah (-----) Whitney (probably incomplete, order uncertain):
i. Samuel Whitney, b. 17 Aug 1760, m. Sibbel Phillips. ii. Seth Whitney, b. ca. 1762. iii. Heman Whitney. iv. Elnathan Whitney, unmarried, lived with nephew Elijah & buried Sanford, NY.
Notes
According to his pension application, Seth Whitney was b. 27 Sep 1759, Danbury CT. If this was indeed the son of this Elijah, it indicates that he may have resided in Danbury at that time.
Was this Elijah Whitney perhaps the same man as or somehow related to Family:Whitney, Elijah (1736-a1770)?
