Ephraim8 Whitney (Daniel7, Daniel6, Daniel5, Richard4, Richard3, Richard2, John1), son of Daniel7 and Sarah (Marble) Whitney, was born 19 Sep 1817,[1] Stow, MA,[2] and died 2 Jan 1899, Harvard, MA, aged 81 years 3 months, of paralysis.[3].
He married, 22 Jul 1850, Still River, MA, Mary Haskell. She was born 6 Dec 1825,[4] Harvard, MA, and died 20 Jul 1893, Harvard, MA, aged 67 years, of disease of the heart.[5]
He resided Ashburnham, Harvard, and Still River, MA.

Mason, b. 5 Aug 1869; resided s. p., Potsdam, NY; is a gardner and plant grower owning large greenhouses. v. Alfred R. Whitney, b. 7 Sep 1864, Ashburnham, MA,[9] but 14 Sep 1862 [Pierce]; d. 25 Feb 1883, Harvard, MA, aged 20 years 5 months 11 days, of disease of heart.[10] vi. Edward Henry Whitney, b. 2 Mar 1869, Harvard, MA;[11] m. 31 Aug 1894, Worcester, MA, Mary Louise Taylor, b. 28 May 1866, Woodstock, CT, dau. of John and Emma (Thurber) Taylor;[12] res., s. p., 21 Townsend St., Worcester, MA. vii. Mary Adelaide Whitney, b. 25 Oct 1871, Harvard, MA;[13] resided Still River, MA; m. 2 Nov 1901, Newton, MA, Henry Albert Thorndike, b. ca. 1840, Boston, MA, son of James P. and Martha E.
