Notes

There seems to be confusion between this family and that of Frank Whitney (c1854-1899) who married Lucy M. York. Both wives Lucy can be found in the 1880 census, the latter at Eagle, Wyoming Co., NY.

In Evergreen Cemetery, Spencer, NY, are buried Willie Abbott, listed above as a child, and a Reuben Abbott "father" (no dates).^[11] It seems possible that he was Lucy's second husband. He may be the "Rheubin M Abbott" who died 29 Mar 1892, Spencer, NY.^[12]
