George8 Whitney (Asa7, Daniel6, Daniel5, Richard4, Richard3, Richard2, John1), son of Asa7 and Sally (Brooks) Whitney, was born 28 Oct 1823, Stow, MA, was baptized 17 Oct 1824, Stow, MA,[1] and died 1 May 1871, Stow, MA, aged 47 years 8 months, of suicide by hanging.[2]

He married, 29 Mar 1853, Harvard or Stow, MA, Sarah P. Barnard, daughter of Ephraim and Dorathy F. (-----) Barnard.[3] She was born 13 Apr 1830, Harvard, MA, and died after 1880.

He resided Stow, MA.
