George Clinton⁷ Whitney (Daniel⁶, Joshua⁵, Daniel⁴, Benjamin³, John², John¹), son of Daniel⁶ and Mary (Ward) Whitney, was born about 1805, ME, and died after 1870.

He married, 12 Aug 1833, Winthrop, ME, Emeline Bond LaCroix, daughter of Frederick and Abigail (Stanley) LaCroix. She was born 11 May 1812, Winthrop, ME, and died 6 Feb 1865.

vi.	Caroline F. Whitney, b. ca. 1852, ME; d. after 1860.
vii.	Louis F. Whitney, b. Aug 1854, ME; "Lewis F." d. after 1900, then unmarried.
