George E.7 Whitney (Jonathan6, Elias5, Elias4, Jonathan3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Jonathan6 and Lavina (Coombs) Whitney, was born 15 Mar 1821, Milford, MA,[1] and died 3 Jun 1892, Holliston, MA.

Marriage intentions were published -- Dec 1844, Milford, MA, for him and Louisa P. C. Lincoln "of Holliston".[2] He married, 1 Jan 1845, Louisa P. C. Lincoln, daughter of Ira and Patty (-----) Lincoln.[3] She was born 24 May 1825, and died 7 Sep 1889.

George Whitney was brought up on the Whitney farm, Bear Hill, in Milford, MA, and before marriage learned every branch of boot making, finally settling down to the cutting department, which vocation he followed for forty years. Failing health compelled him to give up work a little more than two years before his death. His residence was always Milford, although he was at intervals employed at North Brookfield, Marlborough, and Hopkinton, MA. He was made on Odd Fellow in 1846, and a Mason in 1861; was buried with Masonic honors at the age of 71, in the family plot in the westerly part of Holliston 6 Jun 1892, Mongomery lodge of Masons of Milford, attending in a body. He resided Holliston, MA.
