George Frederick9 Whitney (John Milton8, Josiah7, Josiah6, Josiah5, David4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of John Milton8 and Emma Augusta (Willard) Whitney, was born 20 Nov 1841, Ashby, MA, and died 23 Feb 1899, Arlington, MA, aged 58 years 1 months 3 days, of acute Bright's disease.[1]

He married, 18 Jun 1874, Newtonville, MA, Josephine I. Bryant. She was born 11 Jun 1844, Boston, MA.

He is a soap and wax manufacturer at 59 Long Wharf; resided Boston, MA. At death he resided Forest Hill, Arlington, MA.

i. Ellery Waldo10 Whitney, b. 12 Aug 1876; resided Arlington, MA.
ii. Elizabeth P. Whitney, b. ca. 1 Sep 1878, Boston, MA; d. 24 Aug 1882, Boston, MA, aged 3 years 11 months 23 days, of scarlet fever.[2]
iii. Irving Bryant Whitney, b. 14 Apr 1879, Boston, MA;[3] d. 24 Aug 1882.
