George Lafayette⁷ Whitney (Peter⁶, Peter⁵, Josiah⁴, Josiah³, [prob.] Benjamin², John¹), son of Peter⁶ and Sybil (Ainsworth) Whitney, was born 17 Aug 1825, Tunbridge, VT, and died after 1880.

He married, 29 Oct 1851, Lowell, MA, Caroline Jane Goss, daughter of A. and Achsah (-----) Goss.^[1] She was born 30 Jan 1831, Henniker, NH, and died after 1880.

He resided Concord, NH, corner of Washington and Spring Streets.
