George Washington⁸ Whitney (Henry⁷, Joseph⁶, James⁵, James⁴, Henry³, John², Henry¹), son of Henry⁷ and Lydia (Knapp) Whitney, was born 1 Nov 1841, and died after 1880.

He married, 16 Oct 1864, Lewisboro, NY, Sarah Ann Reynolds, daughter of Enos and ----- (Bouton) Reynolds. She was born 15 Aug 1842, Poundridge, NY, and died after 1880.

He was a farmer. They settled in Lewisboro, and were living there in Jan 1875.
