Gershom York7 Whitney (Thomas6, Benjamin5, Joseph4, Joseph3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Thomas6 and Annie (York) Whitney, was born 14 Sep 1834, North Tunbridge, VT, and died after 1880.

He married, 3 Mar 1868, Williamstown, VT, Marietta7 Whitney, daughter of Franklin6 and Catherine (Kemp) Whitney.[1] She was born 4 Mar 1847, and died 21 Jun 1876.

He is a farmer; resided North Tunbridge, VT.

i. Nina8 Whitney, b. 26 May 1869, Tunbridge, VT;[2] d. aft. 1900, then unmarried.
ii. Marcus Henry Whitney, b. 20 Mar 1871; d. aft. 1900, then unmarried.
iii. Harley Whitney, b. 17 Jun 1873.
