"Dea." Gorham7 Whitney (Reuben6, Abel5, Nathan4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Reuben6 and Mercy (Baker) Whitney, was born 19 Jun 1806, Litchfield, ME,[1] and "Dea." died 14 May 1859, Gardiner, ME, aged 53 years.[2]

He married 12 Apr 1829, Litchfield, ME, or 3 May 1829, Litchfield, ME, Olive Pain, "both of Litchfield",[3] daughter of William and Ruth (Curtis) Paine. She was born 15 Aug 1809, Litchfield, ME, and "Mrs." died 15 Apr 1890, aged 80 years 7 months, Green, MI.[4]

He was a cooper. They lived in Gardiner and Newcastle, ME.

v. Gorham Mason Whitney, b. 6 Feb 1840, Gardiner, ME;[11] d. 1917, Bosque Co. TX; m. 18 Oct 1874, Canaan, ME, "Miss" Jennie M. Chase, both of Canaan.[12]
