Gorham7 Whitney (Luther6, Daniel5, Abel4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Luther6 and Lydia (Packard) Whitney, was born about Jun 1832, Thorndike, ME, and died after 1920.
He married firstly, 14 Jan 1857, Lawrence, MA, Clara Needham, daughter of Evi and Maria (Latham) Needham.[1] She was born 14 Aug 1835, Norway, ME, and died 22 Aug 1864, Holyoke, MA, aged 29 years 8 days, of canker.[2]
He married secondly, Feb 1876, Anna W. Goodhue, daughter of John and Rachel A. (Wilcox) Goodhue. She was born about Jun 1852, ME, and died after 1930.

i. Ella F.8 Whitney, b. ca. 21 Sep 1858, Andover, MA; d. 2 Sep 1859, Lawrence, MA, aged 11 months 11 days, of canker.[3] ii. Clara Emma Whitney, b. 20 Aug 1861, Lawrence, MA (but recorded in Holyoke);[4] d. after 1910. iii. Willie K. Whitney, b. ca. 20 Jul 1864, Holyoke, MA; d. 10 Aug 1864, Holyoke, MA, aged 20 days, of canker.[5]
