Family:Whitney, Hezekiah (1767-1842)

Hezekiah Whitney, parentage unknown, was born 1767 (according to his gravestone), and died 1 May 1842, Mexico, NY, aged 75 years. He was buried in Wellwood Cemetery, Mexico, NY. He may or may not be identical to Hezekiah⁶ Whitney, son of Caleb⁵ and Annes (Church) Whitney, who was born 16 Aug 1766, Shutesbury, MA.

He married, 15 Dec 1793, Templeton, MA, Susanna White,^[1] of whom nothing further is known. She was born between 1765 and 1784, say 1770, and died 14 Oct 1847, Mexico, NY. She was buried in Wellwood Cemetery, Mexico, NY.

v.	(daughter) Whitney, b. say 1801; deduced from 1810 census; not in family in 1820.
vi.	(daughter) Whitney, b. say 1803; deduced from 1810 census; possibly the Laura Whitney who d. 3 Oct 1883, Mexico, NY, aged 80 years, buried Wellwood Cemetery, Mexico, NY.
vii.	(son) Whitney, b. say 1805; deduced from 1810 census. He was probably the Joshua Whitney, b. 1803, VT, d. 1863, bur. Wellwood Cemetery, Mexico, NY, m.(1) Feb 1831, Ermina7 Whitney, daughter of Eliphalet6 and Lucy (Ellsworth) Whitney, d. 19 Mar 1851, Mexico, NY; and m.(2) Jan 1852, Laura Lucinda Shumway, d. 19 Feb 1861, Mexico, NY, aged 42 years.
