Hiram E.⁸ Whitney (Edward A.⁷, John⁶, Joshua⁵, Eleazer⁴, Eleazer³, Thomas², John¹), son of Edward A.⁷ and Harriett Elvira (Couch) Whitney, was born 5 Dec 1849, Montville or Sandisfield, MA, and died 1 Jan 1929, Winsted, CT.^[1]

He married, 1 Nov 1879 [Pierce], or about 1883, Susan A. Lamson. She was born Nov 1860, Sandisfield, MA, and died after 1920.

He resided Montville, MA, and Winchester, CT.

i.	Cora E.9 Whitney, b. 22 Dec 1884 (twin), Sandisfield, MA;[2] m. bef. 1909, ----- Hart.

Notes

Although Pierce gives the marriage date in 1879, Hiram was single and living in his parents family in 1880, and the 1900 census says he was married 17 years.
