Horace Messinger⁸ Whitney (Silas⁷, Daniel Hobbs⁶, Joshua⁵, Joshua⁴, Joshua³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Silas⁷ and Anna (Handy) Whitney, was born 30 May 1846, Wrentham, MA;^[1] died 22 Jan 1897, Attleborough, MA, aged 50 years 8 months 24 days, of dilitation of heart.^[2]

He married, 23 Aug 1867, Attleborough, MA, Clementine A. Hull,^[3] daughter of William D. and Elinor (Hoglan) Hull. She was born 6 Apr 1842, New York, NY, and died 18 Oct 1914, Attleborough, MA, aged 72 years 6 months 16 days, of cerebral apoplexy.^[4]

He was a carpenter.
