Jacob Whitney, parentage unknown, was born say 1791, and died between 1840 and 1850.
He married, before 1818, Elizabeth B. Stretch, daughter of William and Jennie (-----) Stretch. She was born about 13 Mar 1787, Boston, MA, and died 25 Oct 1877, Lynn, MA, aged 90 years 7 months 12 days, of old age.[1] She may be the Elizabeth Stretch who married (firstly) 10 May 1810, Boston, MA, Seth Dillingham, who died 2 Dec 1817.

i. Jacob Whitney, b. ca. 1818, Boston, MA; m.(1) Sarah Jackson; m.(2) Honora Connor; m.(3) Elizabeth (Downing) Allen. ii. (daughter) Whitney, b. ca. 1822; bur. 19 Sep 1839, Lynn, MA, aged 17 years.[2] iii. William Foster Whitney, b. ca. 1826, Boston, MA; m. 25 Jan 1853, Lynn, MA, Sarah Jane Currier, b. ca. 1831, Charlestown, MA, dau. of Charles M. Currier.[3]
