Jacob S. Whitney, parentage unknown, was born about 1798, Thornton, NH, and died 3 Oct 1866, Kaneville, IL, aged 68 years. He was buried in Kaneville Cemetery, Kaneville, IL.[1]

He married, 16 Jul 1826, Boston, MA, Abigail Waters.[2] She was born about 1798, MA, and died 1886, Aurora, IL. She was buried in Kaneville Cemetery, Kaneville, IL.[3]

He may have been a son of either Silas7 and Hopestill (Sargent) Whitney, or of one of his brothers.
