James B.⁷ Whitney (Israel⁶, Daniel⁵, Daniel⁴, Benjamin³, John², John¹), son of Israel⁶ and Sally (Mills) Whitney, was born about 1816, Watertown, MA, and died after 1880.

He married, 31 May 1846, Marlborough, MA, Anne Wilkins,^[1] daughter of William and Elizabeth (Bruce) Wilkins. She was born 28 Aug 1826, Marlborough, MA, and died 27 Nov 1880, Hudson, MA, aged 54 years 3 months, of heart disease.^[2]
