James Clarence Whitney (James, Jacob M. Whitney, James), son of James and Emily Auriela (Haynes) Whitney, was born 1 Feb 1860, probably Flagg, Ogle Co., IL, and died 6 Apr 1942, Portland, Multnomah Co., OR.
He married firstly, 1883-1884, Laura I. Pickering. She was born Feb 1857-1858, IL.
He married secondly, 1910-1920, Mary Jane -----. She was born 1869-1870, IL.
Occupation: Farmer and Woodcutter between 1880 and 1930 census records. Lived in several states including Illinois, Nebraska, Kansas, Oregon, and Idaho.
