Jason Darius⁹ Whitney (Hiram⁸, John Rodman⁷, William⁶, Thomas⁵, William⁴, William³, Joshua², John¹), son of Hiram⁸ and Mary Louisa (Juckett) Whitney, was born 10 or 20 Jun 1848, Henrietta, OH, 23 Nov 1930, Rocky River Village, OH, aged 83 years 5 months 3 days. He was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Norwalk, OH.^[1]

He married, -- Aug 1871, Mary Anna Tillinghast, daughter of George and Mary Updike (Eldred) Tillinghast. She was born 15 Mar 1843, OH, and died 2 Dec 1930, Berlin, OH, aged 86 years 8 months 17 days. She was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Norwalk, OH.^[2]

On 27 Mar 1930, in Ohio, Jason D. Whitney applied for a disability pension for service in the Civil War, in Unassigned U.S. Volunteers. The Application Number was 1,663,768, and the Certificate Number was 2,611,876.
