He married Oct 27 1862, Montrose, PA, Ellen Lucena Tyler, daughter of Ansel and Isabella (Young) Tyler. She was born Sep 6 1839, East Bridgewater, PA, and died Sep 24 1914, Bridgeport, CT.

Married Oct 27, 1862 at Montrose, PA (by Rev. R. Van Valkenburg). Ellen Tyler was daughter of Ansel and Isabella (Young) Tyler and granddaughter of Simeon Tyler whose descent from John and Priscilla Alden is on record with the "Mayflower Descendants."
