Family:Whitney, Jazaniah (1780-1869)

Jazaniah⁶ Whitney (James⁵, [prob.] James⁴, Eleazer³, Thomas², John¹), son of James⁵ and Mary (Thayer) Whitney, was born 1 Sep 1780, and died 12 Apr 1869.

He married firstly, Saint Johnsbury, VT, Rebecca Whipple. She was born 17 Oct 1782, and died 23 May 1853.

According to the 1850 census, he married secondly, before 1850, Sally -----. She was born about 1785, and died after 1850 and before 1860. This may be an error for Rebecca, who cannot be found in the 1850 census.

He was a carpenter by trade. Member of the Baptist church. He resided St. Johnsbury, VT, and Wendell, Littleton, and Newport, NH.

vi.	Turzah Whitney, b. 30 Jul 1815; d. 30 Jul 1820.
