He married, 14 Sep 1864, Concord, NY, Elvira Jane Beebe, daughter of Lothrop and Sarah (Bemis) Beebe. She was born 17 Jan 1840, Ashford, NY, and died 10 Jul 1920. She was buried in Maplewood Cemetery, Springville, NY.^[2]

He was a blacksmith; and they were living at East Ashford, NY, in May 1875.
