Joel8 Whitney (Bartholomew7, Silas6, David5, Benjamin4, Thomas3, Thomas2, John1), son of Bartholomew7 and Lois (?Weeks?) Whitney, was born 9 Sep 1791, Clarendon, VT,[1] and died 19 Nov 1862, aged 71 years. He was buried in East Sheldon Cemetery, East Sheldon, VT.[2]
He married, say 1811, Lucy Willard Sheldon, daughter of George and Joanna (Smith) Sheldon. She was born 28 Nov 1793, Sheldon, VT, and died 2 May 1873, aged 79 years, and is found in the 1870 census living with her son, Clark Graves Whitney. She was buried in East Sheldon Cemetery, East Sheldon, VT.[3]
